Dheeraj Yadav, a contemporary artist was born in 1989 and belongs to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Dheeraj studied Bachelor of Fine Arts at University of Allahabad, Prayagraj in 2012 and then studied Master of fine arts in 2014 from the former university. He has also participated in the Artist in Residency Programme, President House (Rashtrapati Bhawan), India in 2017. His abstracts and artistic expressions involve presentation of mythological and religious icons, symbols and imagery.

He was also awarded scholarship of the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi in 2015-16. His works are part of many private and public collections.
