Nupur Kundu is a prolific artist born in New Delhi in 1975. She was educated at the College of Art, New Delhi. Besides being a talented artist, she also is a trained dancer and completed her Sangeet Bhaskar in Kathak. She joined the College of Art at 1993 to study Bachelors of Fine Arts.
As an abstract artist, Nupur has always been different from a certain set of trends. Her works always appear warm and welcoming. Her canvas consists of dark hues and primary colors with lots of reds and the yellows. It is quite amazing to notice that the colors were all well-balanced. Nupur has participated in several exhibitions both in India and abroad. Apart from exhibiting in India, her works have made their way to Dubai, Singapore, United States of America and Mauritius.

She also held a solo exhibition at Art Indus, New Delhi in the year 1999. Beside that, she has held two-man solo shows at the Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai in 2001 and at Surya Gallery, Hyderabad in 2000. She also conducted numerous art workshops for the British Council, New Delhi. Nupur lives and works in New Delhi.
