The artist has a penchant for the abstract. His architecture for abstract painting is ever intriguing. Various colour areas enter into a dialogue with each other and arrive at a negotiated settlement. The resultant image is stable but dynamic, sober and thought-provoking. It transports you into another world; wherein formal relations are worked out but with emotional undertones.
Nimbalkar has been a recipient of awards at the Kalidas Art Exhibition and the Sahitya Kala Parishad exhibitions. His work is represented in the collection of the Lalit Kala Akademi, Delhi, and in several private collections. He considers his works as the celebrations of life.
